SEMINAR CUM WORKSHOP ON COUNSELLING

In the context of growing necessity for counselling, especially for the student community a seminar cum workshop was arranged on Counselling for two days, 6th & 7th February, 2012. Dr. Niranjan Reddy, a clinical Psychologist by profession and a counsellor and a columnist from Hyderabad and Sr. Tresa JMJ Directress, counsellor, Prajwala Counselling Centre, Vijayawada were the resource persons.

NATONAL SEMINAR ON LIFE SKILLS EDUCATION (26th March 2012 to 28th March 2012)

he National Seminar on “Life Skills Education – Need of the Hour” sponsored by the UGC began on the 26th of March 2012 with lighting of the lamp and invocation. The Principal Dr. K. Jayasree welcomed the delegates.  Prof. G. Prasad, Registrar I/C, Principal University College of Arts, Commerce and Law, and also co-ordinater, Department of Education, Acharya Nagarjuna University, inaugurated the Seminar. Prof. K.V.S.N. Murthy, Head, School of Education, S.CS.V. Maha Vidhyalaya University, Kanchipuram delivered the key note address in which he stressed on the importance of Life Skills for happy living on 27th we had paper presenters from different colleges across the State and National and on 28th of March 2012, Dr. Mrs. Yoshoda from ANU chaired the session and at 11.30 pm the validictory session took place.

 

Getting together and sharing ideas is a perfect way to improve qualitatively in the academic field. For this reason, the college organizes seminars for teachers, teacher educators, students, alumnae and so on. UGC sponsored National Seminar on Value Oriented Education – Initiatives at Teacher Education Level was conducted from 16th – 18th November 2006. 61 papers were presented and these were brought out in the form of a book.

UGC sponsored seminar and workshop on ‘Psychology in Indian Perspectives’ was conducted from 19th to 21st November 2007. It was very well attended and 33 papers were presented and these were brought out in the form of a book.
