Hostel Committee is responsible for the smooth functioning of the hostel facilities at the SJCE Campus.The committee is to provide safe and healthy environment for the students to stay, live together to maintain mutual understanding and also improve the curricular and extra-curricular activities. Hostel rooms are comfortably furnished for a good stay away from home.

Objectives

• To provide suitable and comfortable accommodation for residing students.
• To ensure that students coming from different places learn to live together and strengthen their relations with mutual cooperation and goodwill.

Functions

• Acts as a bridge between the administration, caterers, hostel authorities on one side and the students on the other.
• Facilitates the grievance Redressal of students and communicates the same to the concerned authorities.
• Keeps a check on the daily issues regarding the hostel infrastructure, the housekeeping issues, mess facilities, etc.
• Ensures an enriching stay at the campus by organizing various cultural and sports events in the hostel to bring out creative abilities of students.
• Organizes fun-packed events and food-carnivals.

Term: The Hostel Committee reconstituted every three years.
Meeting:The Hostel Committee assembles twice in a semester.
